THE FOLDED EGG

I eat two eggs for breakfast almost everyday. They are a great source of protein and keep me full for the perfect amount of time. We all know that there are so many ways to make your eggs. Sunny side up, eggs over easy, scrambled, hard boiled, omelet, etc.  However, even with a variety of ways to make eggs, I still find myself getting bored with each method over time. I played around and thought of a new and fun way to make my eggs. I wanted to share it with you guys in case you are also bored of your egg routine or just want to try something new. I call it the “folded egg”.

01

crack the egg into a bowl

02

remove the yolk and save for later

03

pour the egg white onto the pan

Swirl it around so it covers the whole surface area

04

let that cook for a little

05

when it starts getting more well done, place the egg yolk in the middle

I remove the yolk from the egg white and then add it on later because it allows me to be more precise and neater when centering it.

06

fold the edges of the egg whites to cover the EgG yolk completely

*This part is difficult! Make sure you are gentle so you do not burst the yolk open.

You can use your finger but it is definitely hot so I sometimes use tongs or a spatula.

07

Once folded over, GENTLY move and flip the egg to cook all the sides more

If you like your eggs more runny, only cook for a little bit.

If you want to add cheese, this step would be the time to do that.

08

put your egg on a plate and enjoy!!

I also recommend eating it with some everything bagel seasoning.
